I really wanted to join Friday’s Fave Five — but I was just too tired that day.
Now my post is finally up, a little late, but full of gratitude.I’m glad I can still join in.
-
☀️ The sun shining through the almost-summer-green oak leaves against a clear blue sky — such simple beauty that lifts my heart.
-
π Reading Mark’s Gospel in the garden. The moment where Jesus sighs as He heals the deaf man struck me deeply. It felt like the sigh of God’s heart — full of sorrow and fierce compassion. I’ve been feeling physically weak lately, but He notices. He is the Rock beneath my trembling feet. One day, no more sighs. No pain. No tears. No fear.
-
π A sweet Mother’s Day bouquet from my youngest — he gave it on Saturday “because I couldn’t hide it under my bed.” That made me laugh. You can see one flower in the first photo, that lovely pink bellflower πΈ.
-
𧦠Compression socks from my other son — a thoughtful and caring gift, hoping to ease some of the symptoms I’ve been struggling with.
-
π¦ And a photo from my husband of a tiny Icarus blue butterfly — such a delicate reminder of God’s creativity, and how He notices even the smallest things.
So much grace, even in fragile days. Some days are simply harder than others — and honestly, don’t we all have days like that?
I post late sone days. I hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan!
DeleteWelcome to Fave Fives! I also read your post about the blue butterfly. When I first saw the wings, I thought, "That looks like lace!".
ReplyDeleteI giggled at your son's giving you the flowers early because he couldn't hide them under his bed. :)
I hope you will heal and feel better soon.
Thank you, Willow! Your kind words and smile about the flowers really lifted me. So glad you read the butterfly post too! π¦
DeleteHello Aritha and thanks for joining in! It's never too late to link up! Love that flower in your picture. I agree with you, the simple beauty of nature lifts my heart! I love that you said God notices! Your youngest son's comment made me smile. How precious! I'm supposed to wear compression socks too but rarely do especially in summer. But I really do need to start!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Susanne! I'm happy to be part of the Fave Five circle — and yes, God does notice. π (Compression sock buddies, maybe?)
DeletePrayers for you, Aritha - feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers, Martha Jane — they truly encourage me. π
ReplyDeleteYes--we all do have fragile days. I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you had a lovely Mother's Day. I had to smile about giving the flowers early because they couldn't be hidden. Our Sunday School class is going through Mark--we finish next week. Compression socks have been suggested to me, but I haven't tried them. I can't stand anything on my feet at home. I like to say I was raised barefoot and never got over it. :-) That butterfly photo is exquisite. I have never seen one like that.
